“Man doesn’t live by bread
alone” someone said; as to assert the importance of
nourishing the soul as well.
Art is a wonderful food of which Italy abounds. And
the jewels of Italian art are not only those
carefully preserved into the museums, but also the
ones that can be found in our countryside: in the
middle of nowhere, like the Romanesque pievi and
abbeys, or the medieval castles and the elegant
villas; or in the context of hilly towns and
fortified hamlets.
Moreover, the Italian peninsula is full of
archaelogical sites of undoubted charme which have
such an evocative power to make one feel catapulted
back to Etruscan times, to the period of the first
settlers whose history and heritage is so meaningful
to us nowdays.
An heritage made of an incredible amount of jewels,
vases, coins, tools of everyday life, besides
drawings realized in the stone of grottoes still
visible to us, and telling us about ancient
populations’ habits and customs.
You will be driving not only through some beautiful
Italian regions, visiting its elegant art cities and
trying some of its best restaurants; it will also be
a journey through our rich and old history, so
unique and fascinating, as you will personally
experience.
Participation to special events, as art exhibitions
and thematic shows or private visits to some museums,
can be arranged on request.
